    Teaching Assistant Apprenticeships- September 2026

Do you see yourself training in one of our amazing schools?

Catalyst Academies Trust has an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in becoming a Teaching Assistant Apprentice. We are going to be working with Chelmsford College to offer a TA apprenticeship programme.

You would be employed for the two-year programme and the resulting apprentice qualification could be the stepping stone to training as a teacher, or you could be employed as a highly trained TA.

Apprentices are paid for 5 days of the school week but would train for one day.  Off the job training will take place locally, so you will not need to travel.

If you are currently doing your GCSEs or just interested in this role, please pop into the school office or email andrea.parfett@catrust.org.uk for more information. We are offering this to any age group.

Becoming a Governor at Catalyst Academies Trust

Catalyst Academies Trust is an innovative, charitable organisation, who set out to widen access to outstanding educational provision. This is achieved by supporting and empowering teachers and leaders in schools and academies, to develop outstanding teaching and improve outcomes for all, regardless of starting point. We strive to improve the opportunities and provision both within and beyond our trust.

Catalyst Academies Trust Board delegates some of its functions through a Scheme of Delegation to the Local Governing Body (LGB) of each Trust school. The Local Governing Body, with the Headteacher, has overall responsibility for the running of the school. The LGB has three core strategic functions:

    • Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic vision.
    • Holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils.
    • Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.

Catalyst Academies Trust are now looking to appoint governors within the Trust, in particular to Aveley Primary School. Interested volunteers should email the Trust Administrator via contactus@catrust.org.uk for further information, including circumstances under which someone cannot serve as a Governor.

Applications should be returned no later than 19th June 2026 (we reserve the right to close applications
prior to the closing date if appropriate). Applications should be addressed to the Trust Administrator
via the school office or by email to the address listed above.
